Ali Kazi

Ali was born and raised in the beautiful city of Birmingham. He completed his Bachelor’s Degree at the University of Birmingham. After graduating he set up and ran his own successful business in filmmaking, which he later closed to pursue further education. 


Ali is currently studying for his Master’s Degree, in Film and Television: Research & Production at the University of Birmingham. He was one of 20 people who were selected from the 600+ applicants for this Degree. 


Ali is elated to be on this summer internship as a Film Producer for Bertz Associates. He has great experience in the Media Industry through numerous work experiences for several organisations and enterprises. One of these organisations was Forward Drive Cricket Academy, who hosted The Royal Airforce for their Centenary Celebrations in 2018, as well as The R.A.F. for their National Cricket Trials in 2019. Ali made films covering these significant occasions. 


Ali has had to contend with many difficult periods in his life. He has suffered from long-term health conditions and mental health difficulties. But he did not let this deter him from his education and career development. He also has a learning difficulty of dyslexia which he used to assume was a major limiting factor in his life; until the moment he realised that this made him more of a creative Individual. Filmmaking is his passion; he is on a journey to pursue this passion as his principal profession.
